Hello, my name is Jessica Cruz. I have over 15 years of nursing experience, including roles as an ER nurse, Flight Nurse, and International Case Manager. I also recently retired as a Firefighter Paramedic after 21 years of service. These experiences have taught me the importance of empathy, staying calm under pressure, and providing excellent care in dynamic environments.

I’ve always loved connecting with people and making them feel cared for, whether it’s through medical care or simply creating a positive experience.

I have over 21 years of experience as a firefighter paramedic, providing emergency medical care and life-saving interventions in high-pressure situations. Throughout my career, I developed strong critical thinking, patient assessment, and trauma care skills while working in diverse and challenging environments.

In addition to my experience in emergency response, I am a registered nurse (RN) with a bachelor's degree in health science. My nursing background includes experience as a Flight nurse, where I provided critical care transport for acutely ill and injured patients, ensuring stability during air medical evacuations. I also have experience in case management, coordinating patient care, advocating for treatment plans, and ensuring optimal healthcare outcomes.

As I transition into full-time nursing, I am passionate about advocating for inclusion and equality in healthcare. My unique combination of pre-hospital, hospital-based, and transport medicine experience has strengthened my ability to make quick, informed decisions while prioritizing patient-centered care. I am now seeking nursing opportunities where I can apply my skills, continue growing in the profession, and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

I hold a bachelor's degree in health science and am a licensed registered nurse (RN). Throughout my career, I have pursued continuous learning to expand my clinical knowledge and expertise.
