Telephone Triage RN 

• Triages emergency and non-emergency phone calls and walk-inpatients providing appropriate direction.
• Assists providers with treatments and procedures as directed.
• Assesses the patient’s condition and learning needs in regards to health care.
• Utilizes teach back method to provide necessary patient education.
• Performs and documents basic patient history, treatments, and administered medications appropriately.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the provider.
• May obtain vital signs and perform routine functions to prepare patients for examinations or procedures.
• Maintains accurate EMR and reports to the provider any pertinent information regarding patient’s condition and care.
• May perform laboratory and diagnostic tests as necessary.
• Performs laboratory and diagnostic tests as ordered by the provider.
• Cooperates with other health care personnel to coordinate patient care and establish mutual goals.
• Notifies patient by telephone or certified mail of any abnormal test results as directed by provider.
