Jennifer Schimmoller

I am a hard-working college student at NC State University, pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and a minor in psychology. During the course of my academic career, I have taken steps to gain more experience in the marketing field. Last summer, I had the privilege of working for Progress Residential in a market operations intern role, where I learned valuable professional skills such as auditing, customer service, and understanding ledgers. I’ve continued to expand my knowledge through my current role as the VP of Advertising and Promotions for NC State’s American Marketing Association. Through this role, I’ve gained experience in marketing and promoting a large organization of over 100+ members. This experience has furthered my knowledge in the field of marketing. I'm eager to learn more about this field and business operations as a whole through an internship this summer. 

Last summer, I was a market operations intern for Progress Residential in Charlotte, NC. Through this internship, I learned how to work within Salesforce and Yardi Systems. I gained experience communicating with residents about outstanding balances on their account ledgers and understanding their lease agreements. I had the chance to shadow and work with leasing managers, account managers, the legal team, and more. I learned new things about business operations and used skills I learned in the classroom, like auditing and reading ledgers. Thanks to Progress Residential, I learned, witnessed, and participated in a fast-paced business environment. In addition, I am the VP of Advertising and Promotions for NC State's American Marketing Association. Through this role, I work within Canva, Mailchimp, and other social media apps to keep our members up to date on AMA events. Also, I help to promote our Regional and International conferences where over 100+ students, faculty, and business representatives attend. This has given me the opportunity to learn how to promote for a large organization. Lastly, I've been able to collaborate with the rest of the AMA Executive Board to ensure everything is executed promptly and successfully. 

I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and a minor in psychology at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. I'm part of Chi Omega Sorority, the NCSU Club Swim Team, and am the VP of Advertising and Promotions for the American Marketing Association. I have made Dean's list every semester.
