About Jason Winn:

I have a huge passion for filmmaking ever since I first saw Jurassic Park when I was a little boy, where my love for making movies started.

 

I received my Master of Fine Arts degree from The New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, where I majored in Filmmaking back in 2021.  In 2018 I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Adelphi University, where I majored in Media Studies/Communications and my area of study was Cinematic Studies/Digital Photography. 

 

I directed my senior thesis film for NYFA, “Volatility”, which I’ve submitted to several film festivals, and for which I have already received Best Director honors from the Top Shorts Film Festival. 

 

Previously, I have performed an internship with 4th Row Films, where I served as production assistant, post-production coordinator, and screenwriter.

Experience

I recently directed my first short film, “Volatility,” which won film festival awards. I'm also directing a feature adaption of Volatility as well.

Education

I recently graduated from New York Film Academy in Burbank, CA with a MFA in Filmmaking. I completed my thesis short film, “Volatility," which won awards at film festivals.
