My name is James Standal and I am a father, husband, son, fisher, hunter, backpacker, climber, ex-fire fighter and park ranger, and all in all, just a guy looking for something great to do with the life I have been given. I was born in Montana, raised in Idaho, and have lived all over the Pacific Northwest.
Experience
I have had a storied life of work that includes fighting fires for the Idaho Department of lands for 5 years, working in restaurants and big box stores, writing for insurance companies, testing software for Microsoft, being a letter carrier for the USPS, working with children for Portland Parks and Recreation, and most recently being a Park Ranger for the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.
Education
I graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Idaho in May 2013.
