About Jake Granich:
I am an experienced environmental scientist with a strong focus on stormwater management. With a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Qualified Industrial Stormwater Practitioner (QISP) certification, I have a solid understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in the field. My expertise includes conducting field surveys, data collection, and analysis to ensure compliance with permit requirements and protect valuable water resources. I have a proven track record of successfully managing and organizing data, preparing technical reports, and assisting in regulatory permitting processes. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, I excel in collaborating with team members, clients, and regulatory agencies to achieve environmental goals. My passion for environmental stewardship and my ability to effectively analyze data make me a valuable asset as a Stormwater Environmental Scientist.
In addition to my academic qualifications, I bring practical experience in the environmental field. As an Environmental Consultant Intern, I participated in a research grant focused on removing invasive algae in Newport Bay. I successfully identified marine organisms within sediment core samples and achieved a 98% accuracy rating in cataloging and sorting data. I have also worked as an Event Staff member, where I assisted in event planning and logistics, providing excellent customer service and working efficiently under minimal supervision. My experience as a Deckhand equipped me with skills in trip planning, vessel maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols. Through my diverse experiences, I have developed strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to achieving project goals.
