Jairo Andrade

Jairo Andrade, I have 10 years of  experience working in the agriculture sector.  I‘ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of crops including tomato, sunflower, pumpkin, peppers, corn, alfalfa, almond, walnuts, and plums. My experience includes crop maintenance, irrigation, harvesting, and experience applying fertilizer. I have worked for the city‘s of Davis and woodland as a Park Maintenance Aid and Arborist air. I have experience operating forklifts, tractors, and ATV’s. My reasons for applying are that I have always enjoyed farm labor and am interested in learning more about agriculture. I am bilingual English/Spanish and physically fit to work in the outdoor elements.

Martinez Ranch Inc. - 5 years - The majority of my experience in agriculture comes from working with Martinez Ranch. Throughout the years I’ve had the opportunity to work in cultivation of a variety of fruits, vegetable, and orchards. My duties included harvesting, irrigation, pruning, fertilizing and planting. 

City of Davis - 2 years - Park Maintenance Aid - My duties for the city of Davis consisted of maintaining  recreational areas. This consisted of cutting gras, clearing lots, driving ATVS, weeding and detailing parks. 
 

City of Woodland- 1 year - Arborists Aid - The majority of my responsibilities consisted of helping to chip, cut, prune, water, and plant Trees. In addition to helping maintain city records and ordinance.

I graduated from Dixon High School in 2017. I attended Sacramento City college however the majority of my education has been working in the work force.
