Jade Nguyen

I have professional experience in credit risk modeling in the banking sector and econometric analysis in the antitrust litigation consulting for clients in automobiles, agriculture and pharmaceutical industries. I also taught undergraduate economic courses at Boston College and was awarded the Donald White Teaching Excellence Award by Boston College for my teaching approach.

I am completing my PhD in Economics at Boston College (MA, USA). My research focuses on causal inference using observational data, with applications in development and labor economics. I combine theoretical economic modeling with empirical documentation to analyze the effectiveness of poverty alleviation programs. I also use reduce-formed methodologies to identify the causal impacts of trade policies on labor supply and fertility decision of female workers.
