Jada Young

My name is Jada A. Young, born and raised in Memphis, TN. I am a graduate student at Tennessee State University. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in criminal justice. I am passionate about working within human resources in the federal government, driven by a desire to help others and continually strive for growth. As a proud member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, Inc., and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., I have cultivated a strong network and leadership skills. Throughout a busy schedule, I have maintained a 3.6 GPA over the past year. Demonstrating my commitment to excellence. Through internships, study abroad programs, and educational seminars, I have gained valuable experiences that I am eager to apply in my future career in Compliance & DE&I.

Jada Young is a highly motivated graduate student pursuing a degree in criminal justice at Tennessee State University, with a focus on public administration and human resources. She has a strong passion for helping others, fostering growth, and driving success within HR, particularly in compliance, DE&I, and federal government sectors.

With experience as an Assistant Resident Director, I have led and mentored a team of Resident Assistants, overseeing dormitory operations and facilitating programs that enhance student engagement and community building. I have been involved in hiring and training new Resident Assistants, fostering leadership and professionalism within her staff. My previous supervisory roles demonstrate her capacity to lead and support teams in complex environments.

I also gained valuable legal and compliance experience during an internship with Judge Rachel Bell in Nashville, TN, where she acquired a comprehensive understanding of courtroom procedures, conducted legal research, and contributed to community programs like expungement clinics. This role honed my skills in legal processes and policy application.

My role as a Teller at Bank Tennessee further developed my attention to detail, managing daily financial operations, adhered to strict cash handling policies, and assisted customers in opening new deposit accounts. Also have experience in customer service and resolving issues efficiently.

I have explored opportunities in federal government roles such as Human Resources Officer and Support Integration Officer through the CIA and FBI, demonstrating my interest in high-impact HR positions. 

My varied background in leadership, compliance, legal research, and human resources positions her as a versatile and dedicated professional, ready to take on new challenges in the HR field.
