Jack Way

I am an undergraduate student studying applied mathematics and statistics at Cal Poly Slo. I am interested in investment banking as a career and am looking for a summer internship to explore this interest. I believe that I can bring value through my technical skills gained from my university courses, and my business skills gained from personal ventures and contributions to the cal poly entrepreneurship club and investment club.

KidzToPros Executive Counselor                                                             San Francisco, CA  June 2022 - September 2022

●  Used my knowledge and skills in robotics and coding to teach a classroom of 15-20 students through interactive and engaging activities, providing them with the foundational tools for innovation

●  Led dynamic sports activities periodically throughout the day, fostering physical fitness and teamwork among the group, promoting a well-rounded education experience for my students

J-Squared Sports Program Founder and Lead Coach                              Burlingame, CA  April 2020 - September 2021

●  Successfully started and managed a sports program for elementary aged boys, providing a physical and social outlet from the isolation of the pandemic

●  Recruited and led a team of two assistant coaches to assist in program execution

●  Designed and launched a comprehensive website, effectively promoting the program through personal connections and a popular neighborhood platform, led engaging activities to enhance physical, social, and teamwork skills

National Honor Society Founder and President                                               Burlingame, CA January 2021 - June 2021

●  Established the first chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) at Burlingame High School with support from teacher advocates and administrators, fostering a sense of community and connection among like-minded students through academic excellence and philanthropic engagement

●  Led weekly meetings and community service projects, including food drives, promoting civic responsibility and social awareness among members

●  Recruited over 40 students, solidifying the chapter’s presence and impact in school community

●  2023 Innovation Quest - Spearheading the development of a comprehensive business plan as part of a dynamic team, with the goal of securing funding from Cal Poly's entrepreneurship program.

●  Cal Poly Computer Science - Developed and implemented a program utilizing image processing techniques to apply a sepia filter to user-provided images as part of a team project, effectively enhancing the visual appeal of the final output.
