Recently I have completed months of training to improve my clerical skillset with VSP, a LifeBridge Health partner, at Sinai Hospital. On the training, they focused on providing a high level of customer service to direct patients and guests throughout the hospital with the use of computer systems.  Prior to that, I was able to complete a three-month clerical program at St. Ambrose with a focus on computer software for the office and it was there that I increased my proficiency of Microsoft Office programs.

From the training mentioned above, I have been able to work as an on-call clerical assistant for a small business owner to help manage, create, and review Word and Excel files. In some instances, Outlook is used to schedule appointments for clients and to help maintain their calendar. After working as a receptionist after graduating from Forest Park High School where I was enrolled in the Secretarial track, my interest grew for the type of work in this field as well as office technology. This pushed me to enroll at BCCC to continue learning more about emerging office technology and increase my skills in that area. After looking for positions and completing some training, I want to focus on a position that would allow my talents and communications skills to expand.
