Holly Brazzle

Hi my name is Brazzle! 

I have and will always be a student, but my career as a professional educator began in January 2018. My roles in education vary far and wide: I have been a Department of Defense Education Activity substitute teacher and paraprofessional, earned licensure for English Language Arts (7-12) at a Youth Services Center, and was the lead teacher for kids experiencing significant trauma. I have spent the majority of my educational career supporting all students–not just those who are easier than others to reach. For me, education equals opportunity for success, and I want everyone to be equipped with the right tools to be successful. 

Besides education, I love English Language Arts. My master’s is in English and Creative Writing–with a concentration in poetry. I love language–I love seeing how it works, and poetry naturally lends itself to using language in unique, concentrated, and illuminating ways. My passion for this form of writing is featured in various literary magazine and journal publications. When I am not teaching, I am reading and writing poetry. When I teach, the poetry is doing all the work!
