Services offered
I am an international educator currently working as a Student Support Coordinator and College Counselor at an international school. In this role, I support secondary students with academic planning, university applications, and personal development, guiding them through college pathways, application strategies, personal essays, and parent workshops.
Prior to this position, I spent over eleven years teaching in IB World Schools, where I taught MYP Individuals & Societies, DP English Language & Literature, DP History, DP Psychology, and Theory of Knowledge. My work has focused on inquiry-based learning, project-based assessments such as the MYP Personal Project and TOK exhibition, and helping students develop critical thinking and global awareness.
Alongside teaching, I have also held leadership roles including CAS Coordinator and teacher mentor, supporting service-learning programs, curriculum alignment, and professional development for colleagues. Overall, my work centers on supporting students’ academic growth, social-emotional development, and successful transitions to university.
Experience
I am an international educator and student support professional with over eleven years of experience in IB World Schools. My background includes teaching MYP Individuals & Societies, DP English Language & Literature, DP History, DP Psychology, and Theory of Knowledge, where I designed inquiry-based and project-based learning experiences and guided students through major IB assessments such as the MYP Personal Project and TOK Exhibition.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have held several leadership roles, including CAS Coordinator, Student Support Coordinator, and teacher mentor, where I supported service-learning initiatives, curriculum alignment, and professional development for faculty.
More recently, I have worked as a College Counselor and Student Support Coordinator, helping students navigate university applications, develop academic and career pathways, write personal statements, and engage families through workshops and advising. My work focuses on combining academic guidance, social-emotional support, and international education experience to help students succeed both in school and in their future university goals.
Education
My most relevant education includes a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in TESOL from the University of Southern California, where I focused on bilingualism, second-language acquisition, and effective instructional strategies for English language learners. This training provided a strong foundation in teaching multilingual students and designing inclusive, language-supportive classrooms.
I am also currently completing graduate coursework in Educational Leadership at National University, which has strengthened my understanding of school leadership, curriculum development, and student support systems, including socio-emotional learning and differentiated instruction
