Heidi Petersen

Highly passionate about education and the arts. A creative scholar-practitioner and behavioral scientist, I thrive in a leadership role and a high-paced challenging work environment. I am currently a remote graduate student researcher at National University based in La Jolla California. I live in the Charlotte area of North Carolina. I perform qualitative research on a phenomenological project aimed at addressing the needs of a specific vulnerable population. I am passionate about contributing to the collection of scientific knowledge and peer-reviewed literature as I pursue completing my first published article.

In addition to working in higher education, I have years of experience in the arts and entertainment. I am a professional makeup artist, previous beauty advisor, and former counter manager of Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, and Fashion Fair. I own a face and body painting company where I am contracted with well-known clients like Chick-Fil-A, Raffaldini Vineyards & Winery where I painted members of the Ferrari family, the Winston Salem Dash, and Wake Forest University. I thrive in bringing happiness to people through the arts.
