Heather Sly

Good day. My name is Heather Sly and I currently reside in the United States. I have been working for the last year as a substance abuse counselor in Des Moines, IA under the direct supervision of my counselling supervisor. 

Prior to this, I had the good fortune to work in education as a Special Education Assistant for almost 10 years and in the medical records department of our local hospital prior to that. 

Approximately 3 years ago, I had the misfortune to lose a sibling to alcohol dependency and this spurred my interest in substance abuse. While my work this last year has been focused on the adult population in my town that has addictions to opiates, I am very open to learning any and all knowledge that would be required or that I currently have a deficit in. 

My next step in my journey is to take my skills international and give my children a broader view of this wonderful world that we live in. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and I hope to hear from you soon.
