Amy Stern

I am a professional specializing in patient experiences. I also have experience working with the elderly and children. I am open to opportunities where I can use my passion and skills for patient care and caregiving. 

The importance of patient experience and perception cannot be overstated. Early in my career, I was drawn to research that could directly improve care delivery, leading me to focus on understanding the patient’s voice through qualitative and quantitative methods.

I have conducted focus groups and one-on-one interviews with diverse groups, including surgeons, dementia patients, female veterans, and adult daycare staff, to gain deeper insights into their perceptions of care quality. Additionally, I have attended national conventions in Washington, D.C., for disabled populations and led conference planning initiatives for pharmaceutical companies and institutions like Massachusetts General Brigham.

My interest in aging began while observing my grandparents navigate the aging process. This personal experience fueled my academic studies, ultimately culminating in a Ph.D. in Gerontology, earned through my studies at Cornell University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Massachusetts, Boston.

What I enjoy most about my work is focusing on the patient’s voice to drive improvements in care. I am data-driven, ensuring my efforts are aligned with what matters most to achieve optimal, tangible results.

I am eager for opportunities to apply my skills in consumer insights, relationship building, and performance improvement.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my grown children, walking, and exploring the natural beauty of our beaches.
