I am a PA/MPH student finishing up my studies and will graduate in August 2023. I will be taking the PANCE immediately after graduation and am passionate about providing equitable and high quality healthcare for all patients.  

Podiatry Associates of Indiana, Indianapolis, IN Medical Assistant (July 2020 – May 2021)

Checked in patients, took vital signs, and readied the patient for the provider. Applied casts and specialty braces. Measured, ordered, and fitted diabetic shoes and custom orthotics for patients. Obtained lateral, anteroposterior, and internal oblique x-rays of ankles.

Crispus Attucks High School, Indianapolis, IN Teacher (July 2018 – July 2020) 

Developed standards-driven lessons and activities to measure student mastery of human anatomy and physiology. Oversaw, graded, and provided feedback to students. Led and attended professional learning communities and training.

Orthopedic Surgeons of Southern Indiana, Jeffersonville, IN Medical Assistant (May 2015 – March 2019)

Processed patients for check in by obtaining vital signs, conducting patient interviews, and readying the room and the patient for the provider. Removed sutures, staples, and casts. Assisted with cast and brace application. Prepared injections following aseptic protocol. Completed medical notes and obtained prior authorizations for medical imaging and tests for patients.
