Gabriela Eckschmidt

I am a Dual Degree Student at the University of Pennsylvania getting a Bachelor of Science in Economics concentrating in Marketing and Business Economics for Public Policy from The Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a language and area concentration in German.

My professional experience primarily involves organizing and directing conferences and events, particularly in the field of Model United Nations. I have experience as a Director and Secretary General at Porto Seguro Model United Nations, where I oversaw the organization of a conference with 400+ students from 5 countries. Additionally, I founded and directed MUN For Communities, which adapted the MUN program to help underprivileged Brazilian youth, and created a guide on how to implement and run the program. I also have experience as a Business Director at the University of Pennsylvania Model United Nations, where I contacted universities and businesses for sponsorships, raised funds through merchandise sales, and organized and trained delegates and staff. I am currently involved in various organizations at the University of Pennsylvania, including the Marketing Undergraduate Student Establishment, Wharton Undergraduates in Public Policy, and Wharton Latino External Committee. I am also a participant in the Latin American Leadership Academy, where you have received leadership training and networking opportunities with LatAm leaders.

My most relevant educational experiences include my enrollment in The Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business at the University of Pennsylvania. I have taken relevant coursework such as Managerial Economics, Introduction to Operations, Information, and Decisions, and Seminar in International Studies and Business, and have completed a course on Business and You, an introduction to Consulting. Additionally, I have achieved a 4.0 GPA at Colegio Visconde de Porto Seguro in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with high ACT scores in Math, Science, English, and Reading. I have also completed a summer program in International Relations at Oxford University in England.
