About Felipe Garibaldi A. Silva:

Classical guitarist, composer, and educator with over 15 years of experience teaching students of all ages in both higher education and K–12 settings. Currently directing guitar programs at UMBC and Frostburg State University, and running an after-school studio at Spencerville Adventist Academy. My teaching is shaped by the pedagogical legacies of Abel Carlevaro and Aaron Shearer, enriched by Suzuki method principles, and driven by a student-centered, creatively engaged approach. I regularly compose and arrange original works tailored to student development, drawing on professional experience as a session musician for Sony Music Brasil and contributions to platforms such as SoFar Sounds and Soundboard magazine. As I complete my DMA at Peabody, I remain committed to performance, community outreach, and cultivating the next generation of guitarists through innovative and inclusive pedagogy.
