Evandyr Crisp

I'm an almost-30 year old registered behavior technician working on the therapist team at Soar Autism Center in south Tempe. A current Glendale, AZ resident, I formerly worked at One Step Beyond, Inc. as the Music Coordinator at their Glendale campus and as a digital content producer at Arizona's Family 3TV/CBS5 and FOX21 Colorado Springs. I am people-focused, compassionate, and driven to deliver professionalism in any field.

I graduated in 2021 from American University with a Master's in Broadcast Journalism and in 2020 from Savannah State University with a Bachelor's in Journalism and Mass Communications. During my time at SSU, I ran the historic, student-led print newspaper “Tiger's Roar” as Editor in Chief. I have had the opportunities to cover the pandemic from its first outbreaks, first Trump and Biden election cycle, the Biden administration's inauguration, the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Gabby Petito case, and the court trials of the Suzanne Morphew disappearance.

In my spare time, I perform, create SFX looks, build props and sets, play a variety of musical instruments, practice my photography and videography skills, and hang out with my dog Otis. 

Currently I am working at Soar Autism Center as a Registered Behavioral Technician. I prepare children with autism in a 1:1 daycare environment for traditional school. Prior to that, I worked as the music program Glendale Campus director at One Step Beyond. I created and taught curriculum to educate adults with special needs on a variety of music history and culture, on top of teaching them how to play the instruments themselves. Prior to that, I worked as a digital producer at Arizona's Family 3TV/CBS5 and at FOX21 Colorado Springs. I produced web articles, managed social media presence, edited photos and videos for online content, and participated in SEO optimization.
