   With my dedication to providing comprehensive support to a talented student base, I help with student outreach while maintaining prompt and courteous communication with graduate students and program members. Complemented by my bachelor's degree in Secondary Education of Social Studies, I am positioned to motivate and inspire others and use my expertise to provide overarching support for individuals' skill sets and needs.

My experience highly qualifies me for this position. Currently, I work for the Graduate Student Association as the Communications Manager and am elected President. My responsibility is to provide a sense of connection and support for the entire graduate community. The main goal is to form a sense of inclusion, belonging, and support. I have proven my commitment to this goal to my graduate community, which has resulted in my progression from a Communications Manager in the GSA to Vice President to President. As President, I coordinate with all department heads and UMBC administration on concerns facing the graduate school. As a group, the GSA has worked on various large-scale events, reforming our bylaws, ensuring adequate transportation and housing for an influx of international students, and cultivating an inclusive and collaborative environment amongst graduate students. 

From 2019-2020, I worked under Ira Fabri, as her assistant and the Academic Success Center Mentor. In this position, I assisted in worked in training tutors at the Academic Success Center at UMBC, developing lesson plans and teaching pedagogy to students.

I have substituted in both long and short-term positions, in every subject matter, within multiple and diverse Baltimore County Public Schools. Second, my experience, as evidenced by my lesson planning, lecturing, instructing, grading, and creating an interpersonal connection with my students while providing a positive and challenging learning environment, qualifies me as the ideal candidate for this position.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education from The Univerity of Akron. I have received training at charter schools, public schools with “at-risk” students, and other schools. 

I have nearly completed my Master's in History.
