I came to Washington DC to study media and communications. But my experiences outside the beltway first prepared me for the journey I would embark on once I arrived.

My first professional experiences consisted of earned and social media management for political campaigns in Illinois. I helped lead press relations and content creation, implementing communications plans for both gubernatorial and congressional campaigns.

Since then, across government agencies and NGOs, my work in the media industry has been nothing short of riveting—tracking digital analytics, pitching journalists, writing copy, managing databases and creating graphic designs--and has prepared to for the fast-paced professional landscape of communications.
