Elizabeth Martin Byard

I am a registered pharmacist in the state of Texas and have been practicing pharmacy for over 24 years.  I have extensive retail experience and have been a Pharmacist in Charge of a grocery store chain pharmacy for 10 years.  Prior to that, I had almost 15 years of experience in an assistant pharmacy manager position with a large chain pharmacy.  I also have some experience in small hospital pharmacy and practiced in both Borger, Tx and Pampa, Tx in rural hospital setting.  I am looking for a new challenge and am interested in discussing this position with you, as I believe I would be an asset to your company. 

I am currently the pharmacy manager for United Pharmacy at River Road in Amarillo, Tx.  Prior to this pharmacy, I was the pharmacy manager for United at their Borger, Tx location for almost 10 years.  I also worked as a pharmacist for Wal-Mart in Borger, Tx for almost 15 years, with a sabbatical to try my hand at hospital pharmacy at Pampa Regional Medical Center from 2002-2004.  My current job requires me to fill all daily prescriptions as well as managing procurement, contractual procurement, managing labor, and following all federal and state laws, as well as company policies.  In addition to this, I am a preceptor for Texas Tech University, School of Pharmacy and work with interns on a regular basis.  I am immunization certified, have training in diabetes management, and work on several MTM platforms.

I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, School of Pharmacy in May, 1998 and have a Bachelor of Science degree.  I have been licensed in the state of Texas since August, 1998 and am in current and good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.  My license was recently renewed and expires 1/31/2025.
