Dr. Rajnandini Aswani

Hi there! I'm an Indian dentist with a passion for clinical research in the medical and dental fields. Currently pursuing my Master's in Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology and biostatistics, as well as a minor in pharmaceutical development, delivery, and access at Boston University. I bring a unique perspective to the field of clinical research. My previous experience as a medical officer and dental clinician has further solidified my passion for advancing healthcare through research.
Currently seeking a summer internship in clinical research. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to contribute to meaningful research studies. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to rigorous scientific inquiry, I am confident in my ability to make a valuable contribution to any research team.

• Currently I am pursuing Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. This has helped me develop a strong set of skills in research design, data collection, management, and statistical analysis. 
• I have three years of experience as a Dental Clinician and one year of experience as a Medical Officer in a rural area of India. I have also served as a Community Health Advisor for six years in a Non-Profit that is also Co-Founded by me, where I gained expertise in public health advocacy.
• My previous leadership positions in healthcare fields provided me with ample opportunities to develop and hone my oral and communication skills, as well as my time management skills as it required me to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously, such as overseeing patient care, managing budgets, and leading staff. 

My Masters degree in Public Health has helped me acquire the skills to conduct and communicate public health research, investigate the causes and prevention of disease and injury, and assess patterns of health in populations around the globe. I did my Bachelor of Dental Surgery from India, my main course work consisted of all of the Medical and Dental branches providing me a deep understanding, knowledge and skill to diagnose, prevent and treat various oral and general diseases. I have almost 6 years of experience working for the better health and overall better life of various slum communities in rural and urban part of India.
