About Donovan Noguez:
I have been a QA tester for about 10 years testing different kinds of DUTs such as mobile devices, laptops, infotainment systems, and black box modules. On top of that, I have experience with both Android and iOS applications as this was required sometimes depending on the project.
I'd say my knowledge with Android is better as the only time I worked with iOS was through contracts the company received directly from Apple. The main goal for the QA work I conducted was to identify any issues for functional, voice, or data test cases of the DUT being tested and if any issues were observed, a bug/defect report would be created for submission to R&D to perform a root cause analysis of the issue. While performing these test cases, a diagnostic tool was used to analyze the device behavior while utilizing the carrier network (such as T-Mobile, Verizon, or AT&T) to perform cellular activities (mainly on 5GNR or 4GLTE). This monitoring and analysis was observed in the form of diagnostic logs/packets, signaling info, and network pcap logs taken from Wireshark.
This testing was performed in a mobile environment, going from one designated cell site to another in the DFW metroplex. A few manufacturers I've done QA work for include Google, Apple, Samsung, Mediatek, Motorola, and Dell. All of which have different diagnostic tools to analyze network packets and signaling info. Some of the tools I'm familiar with include QXDM, XCAL, ShannonDM, ELT Tool, Wave, and STT.
