Daniel Clamens

My name is Daniel Clamens, I have always been interested in technology and when browsing the internet throughout the years, nothing had kept my attention and interest like cybersecurity. Because of this, I enrolled and completed a cyber defense course and am currently completing a bachelor's degree in computer science at the University of Central Florida.

I am attempting to learn as much as I can so that I can emerge into the Cybersecurity industry in these technologically advancing times.

Professionally I have worked in the IT department of a private company based in Miami as well as for my local county (Osceola County Gov). 

Throughout these positions, I have worked with many customers and have managed many different parts of the technology required to assist with the needs of the companies.

This includes but is not limited to: 

• Cloud setup for file storage
• Assembly, imaging, and installation of hardware and software
• Assisting in network setup (Including servers, switches, telecommunications, etc.)
• Management of users and devices in networks using tools such as Active Directory and SCCM.

My most recent education would be my current one at the University of Central Florida. I am currently enrolled in a bachelor's program with Computer Science as my major.

I am currently learning many different things about computers including:

• Encryption
• Coding in C, Java, and Python
• Security in Computing
• Computer Logic and Organization

I have also been attending a computer vision lab and the Hack@UCF cybersecurity club.

In the computer vision lab, we have been researching the development to bridge the gap between humans and computers in terms of virtual reality.

In the Hack@UCF cybersecurity club, we have been learning about exploits, learning to break into systems, as well as doing offensive and defensive CTF's.
