Dalia Guerrero

Hello my name is Dalia Guerrero and I am a biology major with a concentration in zoology at Texas A&M University. The goal is to become a veterinarian in a few years. 

As a biology laboratory technician my main responsibilities are to prepare the laboratories before class, clean up after class, and be available to prepare extra materials in case a mistake happens. I can read lab manuals and follow instructions in aliquoting liquid samples and creating class sets. Plate pouring has been a skill that I learned during this role. Patience and asking questions have helped me succeed. I can sterilize materials aseptically as well as start the autoclave depending on the materials needed. I have done maintenance on equipment, such as spectrophotometers. Created gels for classes to run electrophoresis tests. Another skill I have learned is to not take constructive criticism to heart but to apply it to future events. 

My name is Dalia Guerrero and I am a Junior and Biology major with a concentration in Zoology. My current job’s position is a biology laboratory technician at Texas A&M University- San Antonio.
