About D’andre Lambert:
My career goals are deeply rooted in the intersection of technology, security, and innovation. My journey has been defined by a relentless pursuit of excellence and an insatiable thirst for knowledge, even now I aim to leverage my experiences and skills from the military combined with the knowledge I am currently learning in academia to pursue a career in technology, specifically in the preservation and authentication of data, where I hope to play a pivotal role in safeguarding digital infrastructures and combating emerging threats in an increasingly interconnected world, especially in the age of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and the exponential threat potential that is surely to come with this new era of technology.
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have had the privilege of working on diverse and innovative projects that have sharpened my problem-solving skills and expanded my technical expertise. From being the lead for analyzing classified intelligence data to collaborating with interdisciplinary groups for projects, I have honed my ability to adapt, innovate, and thrive in dynamic situations.
My two proudest projects to date include “The Banksia Pages,” a blog-style website for my Web Development course in my Fall Semester at USC Aiken. As the group lead for the project, my roles included weekly updates to my professor on the progress of our project and addressing concerns our group had, setting up weekly meetings with the two partners I worked alongside, maintaining a roadmap to ensure our group met requirements asked of by our professor. This project included several programming disciplines and cloud data storage and management, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Fire Base, a Google backend cloud storage for mobile apps and web developers. My second project is currently ongoing, but my hope is this project will increase my understanding of Cryptography, specifically how certificates are generated and handled on websites utilizing cryptographic algorithms such as Rivest, Shamir, and Adleman (RSA), Advanced Encryption Standards (AES), and Random Number Generators, all while utilizing the Java programming language.
I hope to delve deeper into areas such as data management, information security, and technology while gaining hands-on experience through practical and complex projects is immensely appealing to me. In addition, to my academic and professional pursuits, I have faced and overcome various financial and physical hardships, despite this, with the help of my remaining family and my wife, I have risen above it to pursue my degree in computer science to commemorate their legacy and continue to work hard every day in their name. Despite these obstacles, I have remained resilient, driven by a determination to succeed and a steadfast belief in the power of education to transform lives.
My unique blend of military experience, academic background, and passion for technology positions me as a strong candidate for your program. I am eager to bring my skills, dedication, and enthusiasm to the table, and I am confident that I can make meaningful contributions to the program and the field of cybersecurity. Thank you for considering my application.
Experience
As an Intelligence Specialist in the US Armed Forces, I specialized in Operational Intelligence, handling classified material within a secure environment. My responsibilities included organizing and compiling data for dissemination in briefs to authorized personnel and aiding in mission-critical decisions for my superiors in the United States Navy. Additionally, I have experience as a Customer Sales and Relations Advisor, where I provided expert guidance on product selection, resolved customer issues, and maintained high standards of professionalism and customer service.
