About Claire Contreras:

I am new to the field of Interpreting and looking for work while I hone my skills for my future career. Although my previous work was pro bono and focused on interpreting, I am eager to add any new skills to my mental tool belt. Any field is beneficial to my future prospects!

Experience

In my teenage years, I volunteered my time as a page at the Pomona Public Library. After graduating high school, I attended Mt. SAC where my work experience consisted of pro bono assignments as an ASL interpreter and 80+ workshop hours concerning different topics. In addition, I also provided child care when I was not studying. 

Education

I graduated with two associate's degrees from Mt. San Antonio College. I received an associate's degree in Sign Language Interpreting in 2021, and a year later I obtained an associate's for Sociology.
