About Christine Nih’shaw :

Young adult & children’s author/illustrator and freelance editor with 25+ years experience. Member of SCBWI, CLiF (Children’s Literacy Foundation), Author’s Guild, and EFA (Editors Freelance Assoc.). Recent appointee to the NH Commission on Native American Affairs. Current work includes a grant illustrating traditional Lakota tales in their ancestral language, a creation story for the Akwesasane Freedom (Iroquois) School, and a lyrical children‘s book for the Mashpee Wampanoag language school. My passion is preserving our First Nations language and culture. 

Experience

I am the owner and creative force behind Riversong Studio where I create custom commissioned portaitures, paintings, book illustrations, ghost writing, and offer editorial services for other authors. I currently have ten published books from pre-K/early readers through young adult. By year’s end, I hope to add four more to that roster.

Currently continuing my education through Southern New Hampshire University to complete my bachelors degree.
