I am an undergraduate with a health sciences degree and wanting some experience before going to medical school. 

Experience

Chemistry and Physics Tutor, Edinboro University (02/07/2023- present)

Help my peers with the chemistry curriculum and help the other tutors together with the faculty

Community Assistant- Edinboro Highlands 3 and Highlands 4 (08/7/2023- present)- worked to build the community of the building and make programs to make sure the residents feel safe and comfortable

Summer Assistant- Pennsylvania Western University Edinboro (Summers of 2023 and 2024)- worked on room checks, check-ins, and checkouts of camps.

New Student Orientation Leader (Summer of 2023 and 2024)- Help incoming freshmen find their faculty and acclimate to the campus.

Student Advisory Committee (Fall 2023-Spring 2024)-Represent the international student population on campus.

PennWest Leadership Academy (Fall 2024-Spring 2025)- learning about leadership and career guidance with different settings and presentations

Research on Microplastic Pellets and bacterial growth (Spring 2023-present)- completed protocols for DNA extraction, sequencing, and assembly to derive the genome of environmental bacteria

Research on the effective methods of attacking Mycobacterium avium in mammals (Spring 2023-present)- processing the M. avium using acanthamoeba strains and two strains of antibiotics to study the most effective method of destroying M. avium.

Presentation for the first research in summer through ABASM- a poster presentation was carried out in the ABASM conference in Pittsburg University Greensburg

 

Education

I am graduating from my undergraduate degree in BS as a health sciences major with a concentration in pre-medical sciences. I also will be getting a triple minor in biology, chemistry and psychology.
