IDEC PHARMACEUTICALS – San Diego, CA (January 1999 – April 2001)

Regulatory Affairs Senior Administrative Assistant – Coordinate and prepare regulatory documents and submissions including PS INDs.  Provide administrative support to corporate partners and the entire Regulatory Affairs department.  Obtain guidelines from various sources related to all areas of the company.  Created administrative intranet site and maintain/update current regulatory intranet site.  Customized web searching for individuals within the organization.  Prepare meeting presentation materials.  Personal assistance to the Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs.  Additionally performed HR functions.

TANABE RESEARCH LABORATORIES – San Diego, CA (June 1991 – July 1996)

Human Resources/Administrative Assistant – Implemented current HRIS system.  Full responsibility for personnel files, payroll, benefits, and telecommunications.  Helped organize a $30,000 inauguration, company functions and the annual Christmas parties.  Reviewing the laws that accommodate the Human Resource field and creating forms and manuals to comply.  Keep all files for the Director, Administrative Affairs as well as the company President.  Responsible for petty cash and its reconciliation.  Arrange travel and hotel arrangements for employees, visitors, and candidates as well as to plan their itinerary.  Troubleshoot phone system.  Scheduling for the President, as well as all confidential correspondence.  Part time admin to the Director of Chemistry where my functions include public disclosures and patents.

San Diego, CA (December 1990 – June 1991)

Receptionist/Admin – Responsible for answering multi-line phones, all filing and typing for the company.  Was one of two administrative assistants for the entire company of 40 employees.  Helped with payroll and other confidential paperwork.  Working with fax machine as well as Macintosh.  ISIS data entry for scientists.

INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES – Harvey, LA (October 1989 – December 1990)

Accounts Payable Clerk – Responsible for handling all invoicing for all 6 companies owned under International Companies.  Worked with Lotus spreadsheets and some typing in WordPerfect.  Worked with Accounts Receivable for 3 companies.  Filing, copying and journal entries were other duties performed.

CON DEMMAS INVESTMENT– New Orleans, LA (October 1988 – September 1989)

Receptionist – Receptionist for entire building that housed over 30 attorney offices.  Responsible for answering the 12 incoming phone lines.  Screened as well as take messages.  Monthly billing of the phones and fax machine to all the attorneys.  Typing of court filings for Attorney Theodore Adams in my spare time.  Responsible for petty cash and bank deposits.

IMMUNETECH PHARMACEUTICALS – San Diego, CA (October 1987 – June 1988)

Clerical Assistant & Administrative Assistant – Clerical assistant for the entire company as well as the Administrative Assistant for the Director of the Peptide Laboratory.  Operated the Panafax and Telex machines.  Worked with the company patents and library research.  Assisted Clinical and Regulatory Affairs with typing of NDA submissions.  Assisted Accounting with Lotus programs and daily bookkeeping.

San Diego, CA (May 1985 – October 1987)

Receptionist/Typist  - Responsibilities were the typing of memos, business letters, disclosures, and other important data.  Worked with purchase requisitions, used Memory Writer and operated Panafax and Telex machines.  Responsible for the professional handling of incoming calls and acted as stand in admin for board members.
