Hi, I’m Carlos! I’m someone who’s genuinely passionate about all things cybersecurity and IT. I’ve got a solid background in computer science and hands-on experience with tools like Splunk and IBM QRadar. I love diving into logs, analyzing network traffic, and figuring out how to keep systems safe from potential threats.

I’ve always been curious about how things work, which is probably why I enjoy troubleshooting hardware issues and making things run smoothly. Whether it’s repairing a system or fine-tuning network settings, I find a lot of satisfaction in solving problems and learning something new every day.

Right now, I’m working toward my Security+ certification and aiming to grow into a SOC Analyst role. My goal is to make a real impact by helping organizations stay secure in an ever-changing digital world.

Outside of work, I’m all about finding ways to improve and challenge myself, whether it’s tackling a new project or simply learning something new. If you’re looking for someone who’s dedicated, curious, and always up for a challenge, that’s me!

I’ve had the opportunity to build a solid foundation in IT and cybersecurity through diverse roles and hands-on experiences. At REAL Solutions Technologies, I work as a Tech Engineer Level 1, where I’ve gained valuable experience with network switches, servers, and IT systems. I’ve developed a strong knack for hardware troubleshooting and repairs, which has become one of my favorite aspects of the job.

In addition to my technical work, I’ve enjoyed contributing to education as a Teacher Assistant, supporting coding classes and helping students explore technology. My internship at Colonial Bonds & Insurance taught me how to streamline workflows, like creating Google Sheets forms to optimize data collection, and allowed me to be part of meaningful website updates.

Through various projects, I’ve had the chance to sharpen my skills with tools like Splunk, Wireshark, and tackle challenges in areas like ethical hacking and network security. These experiences have not only strengthened my technical abilities but also deepened my passion for cybersecurity and IT.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from New Jersey City University, where I built a strong foundation in programming, data structures, and software engineering. I also completed a rigorous cybersecurity program at NJIT, where I gained hands-on experience in areas like ethical hacking, network defense, cloud security, and Python scripting tailored for security applications.

This combination of education and practical training has equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle real-world cybersecurity challenges.
