Carley Ramirez

Senior at Indiana University Bloomington studying Media Advertising with a minor in Sport Marketing and Management. I am hardworking, reliable, and have a strong ability to problem solve and work with others. I have experience working as a Social Media Intern for a local sport broadcasting company in Northwest Indiana and for The Chicago Blackhawks. Currently, I work at the YMCA as a member of the Welcome Center Staff. In school, I am involved with the Indiana University Dance Marathon where I raise money for kids at Riley Children's Hospital. Additionally, I am a member of Students for a New Green World — a club focused on sustainability and fighting climate change. After I acquire my bachelor's degree, I will be seeking a job that allows me to pursue my passions in media.

I have marketing experience working as a social media intern for two companies. One is a local sports broadcasting company located in Northwest Indiana – Region Sports Network. In this position, I assisted in marketing ideas and social media campaigns, wrote and uploaded quality posts, and monitored social media for trending content, news, and ideas. In the summer of 2022, I worked as a social media intern for the Chicago Blackhawks. In this role, I attended daily meetings and brainstorm sessions, studied the Youtube algorithm, assisted in finding popular and relevant social media content, and captured content for the Windy City Smokeout music festival. These positions have given me a great foundation and I look forward to learning more!

I am currently a senior at Indiana University-Bloomington. I will be acquiring my bachelor of arts in Media this upcoming May. I believe that my education has prepared me for any future marketing endeavors. I have taken classes that are relevant to marketing, advertising, design and production, social media, and branding. During my time at Indiana University, I have made the Executive Dean's List four times. I look forward to enhancing my skills in a full-time position.
