About Brianna Santana:
I have been an ABA practitioner for 2 years But an experienced in working with neurodiverse children for 8 years.
I am passionate about self-advocacy, neurodiversity affirming practices, and compassionate care.
I have received my Master’s Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorder at San Diego State University.
Experience
I am a dedicated behavior technician and educational support professional with hands-on experience working with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental or behavioral needs. Currently, I provide in-home ABA therapy through Butterfly Effects LLC, where I also mentor new RBTs and conduct assessments like the VB-MAPP, ABLLS, FBA, and FA to guide individualized intervention planning. My previous roles include delivering school-based behavioral support at Tilly Therapy Services, offering early intervention through the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis and Opya Care, and working as a SPED Instructional Aide in an inclusive classroom at Center St. Elementary. I began my journey in this field at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes and Academy, helping students with learning disabilities strengthen their reading and comprehension skills. I am deeply committed to relationship-centered, evidence-based practices that promote learning, independence, and meaningful growth. Above all, I value client assent and actively incorporate neurodiversity-affirming practices to ensure that the children I support are respected, empowered, and celebrated for who they are.
Education
I recently graduated in May 2025 with a Master of Arts in Special Education, specializing in Autism, from San Diego State University. This program equipped me with advanced knowledge in evidence-based practices, inclusive education, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), all tailored to support neurodiverse learners. My studies emphasized the importance of individualized supports, promoting self-advocacy, and implementing neurodiversity-affirming and assent-based practices across educational and community settings.
