Responsibilities include managing radioactive materials licensing activities and radiation safety programs under supervision of chief medical physicist and regional RSO. Conduct system performance evaluations and quality control, safety and compliance testing. Provide training and education regarding dose estimates, protocol optimization, MRI safety hazards, and shielding design evaluations to immediate and clinical staff.

Experience

Lead medical physicist at Kaiser Permanente Souther CA.  Assistant RSO for San Diego, Bakersfield and West LA areas.  Test all imaging modalities, up to date mammography credentials, CEUs. Deal with both state, MQSA and Joint Commission inspectors regularly. Worked in consulting for about 10 years previous to Kasier Permanente.  Comfortable w/ all imaging modalities/vendors.

Education

Masters Degree in Physics, Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, DABR - Board Certified by The American Board of Radiology in Medical Physics.
