Brenden Sands
Legal
About Brenden Sands:
I am a senior at the University of Alabama, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Legal History and planning to graduate this year. Originally from California and now based in Tuscaloosa, I am an ambitious, disciplined individual with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to serving others. After completing my undergraduate degree, I intend to attend law school to further my passion for the legal field. Outside of academics and work, I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Experience
Recently, I worked as a summer intern at Sheldon & Flood PLC. I assisted attorneys with federal and state habeas corpus petitions, pardons, and writs of innocence. I reviewed case transcripts and legal documents, conducted fact-based investigations, managed case files and client correspondence, and supported daily operations. This experience provided me with hands-on knowledge of criminal law and defense work, allowing me to collaborate closely with a legal team to ensure timely and effective case preparation.
Outside of the legal realm, this position introduced me to working in high-paced and stressful environments, improved my interpersonal skills, and taught me new leadership traits.
