Human Resources Assistant, Coordinator/Supervisor

  • Serve as the initial contact and liaison for HR inquiries, assessment of employees concerns for over 400 Employees
  • Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents/reports, organizational charts, and employee handbooks
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Recordkeeping of hiring, termination, leave, transfer, constructive counseling, grievances, and promotions.
  • Researches and explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances. Develops further training as needed.
  • Partners with the leadership team to deliver and implement the organization’s human resource and talent strategy as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes full cycle recruitment, including recruiting qualified candidates, interviewing, hiring, conducting job fairs, prescreening, scheduling, coordinating background checks, evaluating background results, and extending job offers accompanied by a job description
  • Performs initial interviews and gathers data for employee relations issues such as harassment claims, workplace grievances, or other issues; alerts the relevant HR staff when further investigation is necessary.
  • Audit processing of benefits enrollment, FMLA, and leave of absence cases, present information regarding benefits and compensation during new hire orientation
  • Conducts onboarding of new employees, orientation, and training of new and returning employees.  
  • Facilitated with ADP Payroll System for frontline employees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
