Hello!! My name is Bereket Israel and I'm a sophomore at Mercer University, pursuing a Bachelor's in Chemical Commerce. I'm eager and excited about the possibility of applying my knowledge and creativity in a professional setting. My academic and professional journey has given me a solid foundation in market research, brand strategy, and digital marketing. I flourish in collaborative environments and enjoy strategizing ways to reach a certain consumer. I am confident that my detail-oriented mindset and commitment to my career will allow me to contribute greatly to J.M. Huber. Outside of work, I enjoy honing my creativity on my personal style and fashion. I've been able to combine my interest in fashion and marketing in extracurricular activities as secretary of MU Runway at Mercer University. MU Runway is a school club where the executive board spends a lot of time finding new ways to engage the student body while putting on various shows. I also work as a Sales representative at Sixth Ave, a store in Macon, GA that targets an audience that is attracted to luxury clothing and shoes. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to grow and make a positive impact in the marketing industry while learning from industry professionals. 

My professional experiences include an internship with Beat by Dre where I learned the fundamentals of brand image and marketing toward a certain audience. I learned how to put together a compelling presentation that addresses points of improvement in the company. This internship has helped me in ways that I never imagined, for example, I currently work as a sales representative at Sixth Ave where I have to choose how to best interact and connect with a client.

As a sophomore, I'm my most relevant current classes are Chemistry 2 and Macroeconomics. Last semester I took Chemistry 1, Microeconomics, and Financial Accounting.
