Director of Accounting Operations | Corporate Centralized Accounting

Directed and managed multiple teams of accountants in a corporate centralized environment. Created and implemented a more efficient general ledger reconciliation process which allowed the teams to easily standardize the alignment of the accounting functions.

  • Collaboratively managed over 150 properties in the portfolio, directly overseeing multiple accounting teams which were responsible for numerous properties.
  • Established and implemented banking procedures for over 800 bank accounts effecting over 150 entities in the portfolio by standardizing the new banking reconciliation software. 
  • Created and developed new implementation processes for transferring acquired entities into the portfolio.
  • Guided the revision of the Standard Operating Procedures for Centralized Accounting.
  • Designed balance sheet reconciliation procedures which increased efficiency and productivity while decreasing account reconciliation time.
  • Reviewed, managed and revised numerous teams’ balance sheet reconciliation processes, month-end closing procedures and daily accounting operations.
