Seagate | Sr. Director Worldwide Indirect Procurement, 2019 - 2022

Manage Worldwide Indirect Procurement including 154 employees across 12 Seagate Sites and 7 countries. Responsible for Worldwide Indirect procurement and for the management of the materials crib, min/max planning, inventory control, shipping, and receiving activities for US/EMEA locations. 

• Effectively managed yearly spend of $203M with 75K+ POs placed with an average cost savings of 11%.
• Managed Supplier relationships, strategic sourcing, supplier risk mitigation, contract negotiations and quarterly supplier business reviews.
• Led team to Automate manual Processes using Smartsheet’s: P-card application, P-card Limit Changes, P-card pre-approval form, Net Pay Term approval form, <$50K Purchase Req Approval tracking, and Supplier Risk Escalation.
• Improved reporting dashboard of all Procurement metrics now using Alteryx and Tableau: Cost savings tracking and reporting, PR aging, PO Past due, and Pipeline Project tracking.
• Consolidated Worldwide Procurement information using SharePoint Sites: Global Supply Chain Site created to consolidate all reporting dashboards, quick links, Smartsheet links, department information required, and SOPs.

Seagate | Sr. Director Materials, 2012 – 2019 

Successfully managed material planning, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and purchasing activities for Recording Head Operations Division comprised of 68 Staff in Minnesota, Colorado, and Ireland.

• Developed and implemented strategic upside flex for long lead-time wafer production that increased product revenue by 20% inside current quarter.
• Effectively led Demand Planning improvement project. Met all key milestones established resulting in 30% improvement in forecasting capability using Logility demand forecasting capability.
• Site management team representative, responsible for site wide rewards and recognition event planning covering 24 X 7 shifts and over 2000 employees. 
• Member of PENN Baldridge assessment application, on-going opportunities for improvements in several categories using ADLI (Approach, Deployment, Learning, Integration). Was awarded the Advancement level of commitment with first pass submittal.

Seagate | Director of Materials, 2006 – 2012 

Successfully managed materials planning, inventory control, shipping, receiving, crib management, and purchasing activities for Recording Head Operations in Bloomington, MN.  Staff was 35 employees Bloomington Minnesota .

• Commodity Management of Substrate transitions (150mm to 200mm and Std Grain to Fine Grain). Offshore commodity management and price negotiations resulting in 30% reduction over 2 years.
• Effectively re-engineered crib and inventory management systems. Utilized Oracle Min-Max capabilities, implemented scanning technology, visual identification, clean room vending and Auto PO. Reduced inventory holding buy 22%, improved customer service levels as measured by part availability and service time.
• Led successful effort in Ireland to deploy best in class crib operations and our media facility in California that reduced inventory holding by 20%, and increased customer service.
• Led spare part congruency project between MN and Ireland sites. Captured 28% cost saving by qualifying the cheaper source of supply. Instituted a new system for creating part numbers for ease of comparison from site to site.
• Awarded Supply Professional of the year award from NAPM for procurement team Business Partner Approach in 2006.
