About Ashley Stadel:
I consider myself an expert in teaching and learning, grounded in years of experience in special education and educational leadership. I hold a BA in Special Education (Learning Disabilities) from Spring Arbor University, an MA in K–12 Administration and Special Education Administration from Western Michigan University, and I am currently pursuing an EdS in Special Education Instruction and Curriculum from Liberty University.
In my role as a Special Education Director, I have led the coordination and oversight of programs and services, ensured compliance with federal and state regulations, and supported teachers and staff through professional development and mentorship. My experience includes analyzing student data to drive instructional decisions, implementing evidence-based practices, and fostering inclusive learning environments that meet the needs of all students.
I have a deep passion for empowering both educators and students to reach their full potential. By bridging research and practice, I create learning experiences and professional development opportunities that are equitable, meaningful, and tailored to diverse learners and staff alike.
Experience
I am an experienced special education professional and educational leader with a comprehensive background in teaching, program coordination, and district-level administration. Over the course of my career, I have designed, implemented, and monitored special education programs to ensure alignment with district goals, state standards, and federal regulations. In my role as a Special Education Director, I have overseen staffing assignments, case loads, and program implementation, while providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development to teachers, coordinators, and support staff to build capacity and improve instructional outcomes.
My experience includes leading data-driven decision-making processes, analyzing student performance to inform instruction, and implementing evidence-based strategies that support academic growth, behavioral development, and social-emotional learning. I have extensive experience collaborating with families, administrators, and community partners to develop individualized supports, accommodations, and interventions that meet the needs of diverse learners. Additionally, I have a proven track record of ensuring compliance with federal and state special education regulations while fostering inclusive, equitable, and high-quality learning environments for all students.
Education
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities from Spring Arbor University, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based instructional strategies, individualized student support, and inclusive classroom practices. I then completed a Master of Arts in K–12 Administration and Special Education Administration from Western Michigan University, equipping me with advanced skills in educational leadership, program management, compliance, and data-driven decision-making.
I hold an Education Specialist (EdS) in Special Education Instruction and Curriculum from Liberty University, further enhancing my expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and leadership strategies to support diverse learners and educators.
