Manage all operations of the Club consistent with the policies established by the Board of Governors and
the By-laws and rules of the Club. Develops the annual operating, capital and major repair and
maintenance and capital improvement fund (CIF) budgets. Coordinates all management functions of the
Club and works in concert with committee chairs to assist in the development of policies, programs, and
events. Develops and builds a Long-Term Strategic Plan with the guidance of the Board of Governors.
Acts as project manager for all major capital construction projects. Completed and supervised the
completion of $40 million-dollar in major capital improvements. Upgraded and enhanced the Club’s $3
million dollar food and beverage operation to provide members with the finest in club dining experiences.
The Club’s annual gross dollar volume is $20 million dollars.
The Colony Club is the first private social club for women established in 1903. The architecturally
significant clubhouse was designed by Delano and Aldrich and is located on the upper east side of
Manhattan. The Club's 80,000 square foot clubhouse includes twenty-five guest rooms, four dining
rooms, private dining rooms, two ballrooms, bar/lounge, squash court, indoor pool, fitness facility and
card room.

Larchmont Yacht Club, Larchmont, New York
Responsible for the overall operation and fiscal management of one of the country’s oldest and finest
yacht clubs established in 1880. Nestled in a beautiful suburban Larchmont neighborhood, facilities
include a 60,000 square foot Victorian clubhouse with nine guest rooms and a junior clubhouse, 6 Har-
Tru Tennis courts, 4 Paddle tennis courts, and a 2-acre saltwater pool with beach. The beautiful
clubhouse with its gentle front porch overlooking Long Island Sound hosts a newly renovated formal
dining room, casual dining room, Tap Room, Men’s Bar, and extensive banquet facilities. The bath house
facility includes four hundred family lockers and nicely appointed men’s and lady’s locker facilities.
Diverse competitive sailing, yachting and children’s programs are the backbone of the club’s activities.
The club’s gross dollar volume is $9.1 million dollars; food and beverage revenues are $2.6 million
dollars with an active membership of 1625.
Supervised and functioned as project manager for multiple capital construction projects totaling 14
million- dollars. Reorganized the entire management staff with a team of highly competent professionals
resulting in improved amenities, programs, and member services. Through a reorganization of the Club’s
food and beverage operation increased member satisfaction and revenues. Through better
communication improved the club’s relationships with labor unions.
General Manager/COO - January 1999 – December 2002
Edina Country Club - Edina, Minnesota
Responsible for the overall operation and fiscal management of this prestigious country club facility
located in the western suburbs just minutes from downtown Minneapolis. Facilities include an 18-hole
Tom Bendelow designed golf course, 6 Har-Tru tennis courts with separate tennis clubhouse and an
Olympic-size swimming pool with its own cabana. Clubhouse facilities include 60,000 square feet and
include extensive banquet facilities, formal and informal dining rooms, a British style Pub and an
outdoor Veranda. Also included in the clubhouse are two full-service bars, fitness facilities, and nicely
appointed locker facilities. Gross dollar volume $6.5 million dollars with 725 members.
Successfully developed operational strategies to take the food and beverage operation from a negative
profit center to a profit center. Led the Strategic Planning Committee on developing a masterplan for a $ 9
million dollar facilities renovation project to include golf course, pool, and the clubhouse.
Prioritized the golf course as the Club’s primary asset and through cost controls in other departments
allocated an additional $300,000 dollars annually towards course development and maintenance.
Refocused the clubhouse operation on pleasing members by fostering a culture within the staff that
made the Edina Country Club a wonderful place to work.
General Manager/COO – January 1996 – January 1999
Belmont Country Club – Belmont Massachusetts
Responsible for the overall operation and fiscal management of this exclusive, resort style private club
located in the western suburbs of Boston. Recreational facilities include an 18-hole Donald Ross golf
course, 6 Har-Tru tennis courts, and an Olympic-size swimming pool. 55,000 square foot clubhouse
facilities include a 350-seat dining room/function room, 140 seat Grill Room, three additional function
rooms, two bars, pool side snack bar and tenth tee snack bar. Extensive locker room facilities host full
amenities: sauna, steam, massage, barber shop and full fitness center with Cybex weight equipment,
free weights, and cardiovascular equipment. Gross dollar volume six million dollars.
Successfully managed the completion of a $10 million dollar clubhouse and facilities renovation, from
concept development and design through construction, maintaining service while under construction
until final occupancy and operation. Re-established Belmont Country Club as the premier private
country club in New England by instituting financial controls, improving services, and upgrading the
facilities. Recruited staff and developed a resolute team of front-line managers with excellent skills.
Developed a valuable professional rapport with Board members, community leaders and industry peers,
leading to an improved atmosphere for the accomplishment of club goals.
General Manager – January 1991 – January 1996
Westhampton Country Club – Westhampton Beach, New York
Responsible for the overall operation of family-oriented private golf club on Long Island’s exclusive
South shore. Recreational facilities include an 18-hole Seth Raynor designed course, 12 Har-Tru tennis
courts, a clubhouse with two dining rooms and banquet facilities for up to 350, and a fully operational
day camp facility.
Successfully completed the design and construction of three major capital renovation projects:
construction of new junior sports facility, installation of new computerized two pipe golf course
irrigation system, renovation of main kitchen, men’s grill room and locker room facilities totaling $5.8
million dollars. Focused the operation on pleasing members and developed programs to complement the
Club’s unique orientation towards families.
Food and Beverage Director/Club Manager – January 1988 – January 1991
New York Athletic Club - New York, New York
Managed the club’s food and beverage operation at two separate locations, one in Manhattan and the
other in Westchester County. The New York Athletic Club is a prestigious city club located on Central
Park South with two hundred guest rooms, eight floors of diverse athletic operations, a 300-person
dining room, tap room bar and grill, cocktail lounge, and 20,000 square feet of banquet space. The
Travers Island facility located in Westchester County just north of Manhattan sits on thirty-six acres
and hosts 18 Har-Tru tennis courts, boat house, 160-slip marina, athletic field, Olympic-size pool with
cabanas. The facility also includes a main clubhouse with four dining rooms, cocktail lounge, and two
outside snack bars.
