Anna Threlkeld

I am passionate about maps and data visualization of all kinds. I have experience using a variety of GIS softwares and training people with zero or very little experience in using them. I am great at adapting to new systems and processes and love to make any information more digestible to the person experiencing it, whether that be through maps, presentations, or other data visualizations.

I have been working with Agriculture Technology for the past four years, verifying regenerative farming practices so that growers can be compensated for better practices. I specifically work with the geospatial data that records farming events straight from the tractor. I most often work with QGIS and python scripts to normalize this data and make it available to the rest of the company. I have trained multiple teams of temporary workers in GIS software use and have then managed the workload for those teams.

I studied geology in college, where I became invested in data visualization and mapping and quickly took all fo the GIS classes offered by the university. At the time I worked in land management for the school, helping to maintain 13,000 acres of trails and deciduous forest. Through this job, I was able to grow my skills and assist on mapping projects for the school and surrounding community.
