Anisha Menon

I am a research assistant at Rogel Cancer Center at Michigan Medicine.

I am currently a Research Assistant at the Rogel Cancer Center, where I conduct cell harvests for protein isolation, perform molecular techniques such as SDS-PAGE (Western Blots), RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, and ChIP sequencing, and contribute to academic papers for symposiums. I am also gaining clinical experience through shadowing at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, where I observe pediatric neurology consultations, epilepsy treatments, and patient advocacy under Dr. Sarah Dixon and Dr. McNamara while participating in discussions with medical residents. Previously, I shadowed various medical professionals at Ascension Providence Hospital, gaining exposure to radiology, pathology, surgery, and family medicine. In addition to my clinical and research work, I worked as a freelance content writer from September 2022 to April 2024, researching and crafting medical articles for diverse audiences while maintaining academic and professional consistency. I also interned at G-Accon from September 2021 to December 2023, where I assisted in financial accounting using Xero and QuickBooks, developed training presentations, and collaborated on team projects.

I have completed high school at Novi High School, And I am currently a student at The University of Michigan Studying Neuroscience with a minor in Gender and Health
