With several years of experience working in various coffee shops, I have developed a deep passion for crafting quality coffee and creating memorable experiences for customers. From mastering manual espresso machines to providing excellent customer service, I’ve honed my skills in busy, fast-paced environments.

My journey in coffee began at Breaking New Grounds, where I quickly learned the intricacies of working with a semi-automatic espresso machine. I then refined my craft at Starbucks, where I further developed my ability to make a wide range of espresso drinks with precision and speed. At Alley Cat Cafe, I had the opportunity to work with a manual espresso machine, perfecting my espresso shots and creating unique, handcrafted beverages.

In every position, my focus has always been on delivering exceptional customer service—whether it’s remembering regular orders, offering personalized recommendations, or keeping the café space welcoming and organized. I take pride in using my experience to build meaningful connections with customers, fostering an inviting atmosphere for everyone who walks through the door.

When I’m not serving coffee, I enjoy exploring the intersections of herbalism and wellness, often blending my passion for nature with my love for coffee. As I continue my barista journey, I strive to bring both my skillset and enthusiasm to every cup I prepare, always aiming to elevate the coffee experience for each person I serve.

With a diverse background in both coffee service and outdoor leadership, I bring a unique blend of skills and dedication to every role I undertake. I’ve worked as a barista in a variety of settings, from independent cafes to larger chains like Starbucks, where I developed expertise in espresso preparation, customer service, and maintaining a welcoming environment. My experience also extends to outdoor adventure guiding, where I’ve led climbing, hiking, and wilderness programs, honing my leadership and technical skills. In addition, I’ve worked in agriculture, assisting with farm operations and CSA markets. Across all my roles, I’m committed to delivering high-quality service, creating meaningful customer connections, and contributing to a positive team dynamic.

I have a strong foundation in outdoor leadership and herbalism, both of which enhance my ability to connect with customers and create a welcoming, grounded atmosphere. My studies at Ithaca College in Outdoor Adventure Leadership and Environmental Studies have honed my communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills—traits that are valuable in fast-paced coffee shop environments. Additionally, my training in Vital Herbalism at Acorns School of Medicinal Herbalism deepened my knowledge of wellness, which allows me to approach coffee and customer service with a holistic perspective, emphasizing health-conscious options and creating a positive experience for every guest.
