Amir Siddiqui

My name is Amir Siddiqui, and I am a sophomore at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Isenberg School of Management. I am an aspiring Finance major with a concentration in alternative investments while also minoring in computer science.I have utilized my knowledge of Python 3.0 and Java JDK to formulate and program advanced screeners and technical indicators that can analyze the entirety of the market based on specific technical criteria that lead to statistically profitable trades.I am interested in a career in Data Analysis or any other occupation that combines my strong understanding of finance with computer science programming languages. I am seeking an internship in the financial services sector over the summer of 2022 that will further my experience and knowledge.I realized my passion for finance while learning to trade stocks in March 2020, which soon led to me becoming eligible to day-trade. I am blessed to have found a hobby I genuinely love, and I look forward to the opportunity to further my understanding of finance in real-world applications over the Summer of 2022!

Day-Trader: 

- Utilized Python 3.0 and Java JDK to formulate and program advanced screeners and technical indicators that can analyze the entirety of the market based on specific technical criteria that would lead to statistically profitable trades
- Analyzed the markets on a daily basis and formulated trading and investment strategies while keeping abreast of constant changes
- Fluent in reading charts, using technical indicators, option calls & puts, shorting stock, and understanding the significance of a company's financial statements
- Planned for the future, focusing on the present, and learning from the past
