Alex Khater

I am looking to use my experience and mathematics and statistics in conjunction with my extensive background in religious studies to conduct research, polling, and data analysis to better understand the world. I am a passionate problem solver and view everything as a puzzle.

At Oberlin College, I worked as a math grader and tutor under multiple professors for multiple math and stats classes. I checked and graded homework for large classes of students, gave feedback, and managed and presented the grade data to the professor. 

I also worked as a researcher at the Statistics department and performed research on outlier detection. I designed, conducted, and presented a series of experiments using a variety of outlier detection techniques on thousands of data points utilizing R and Excel. I worked unsupervised for 30 hours a week while managing other projects and courses. 
 

In 2021 I graduated from Oberlin College with a degree in Mathematics and Statistics with a concentration on statistical modeling. I also earned a degree in Religious Studies. I later took graduate-level courses in Data Science at Lewis University as an At-Large Student.
