• Recruitment and Onboarding – Managed processing job postings, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation of new hires.
• Payroll – Managed reviewing/updating employee time submitted to rectify any potential issues with payroll while maintaining a payroll tracker for union and non-union employees.  Verified pay against time keeping system to ensure accuracy.  If any discrepancies were found, a proactive and timely approach was taken to resolve the issues at hand.
• Managed reference requests, background checks and I9 verifications.
• Responsible for contractual changes, union rate increases, merit increases and relocation reimbursements.
• Liaising with Risk Management for employee related accidents and workman’s comp claims.
• Managing the AskHR inbox, acting as the first point of contact for all queries.
• Spearheaded EEO process for CBS Television Stations.
• Administered terminations – Exit interviews including reviewing layoff/severance packages with exiting employees.
• Tracked and coordinated headcount activity to support business and compensation approvals.
• Involved in the implementation/rollout of Workforce (time management system).
• Served as treasurer for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists – Denver Chapter.
• Responsible for analyzing and auditing data for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure processes achieve full compliance with policy and control environment including data privacy and SOX, fulfilled requests for audits and government inspections.
• Mentor and provide guidance to team members related to work performance and provide opportunities to gain additional skills.
