Adriana Garrido

I’m Adriana Garrido, a certified physician assistant with a background in gastroenterology and cardiovascular sonography. My clinical experience, along with a personal understanding of chronic illness, has shaped my passion for providing empathetic, patient-centered care. I’m now looking to transition into primary care to focus on long-term relationships and comprehensive, outpatient-based healthcare.

I bring diverse clinical experience across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings, with a strong foundation in gastroenterology (GI), cardiology, and primary care. My first physician assistant (PA) job after PA school was as an inpatient GI float PA at United Digestive, where I managed complex GI cases across multiple Atlanta hospitals, demonstrating adaptability, clinical acumen, and a strong focus on patient education. My background also includes diagnostic cardiovascular sonography and a wide range of clinical rotations in family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, emergency medicine, cardiology, outpatient GI, psychiatry, and critical care. I have hands-on experience with various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and consistently prioritize evidence-based, patient-centered care.

I completed my Master of Physician Assistant degree at Augusta University, where I received comprehensive training across a variety of clinical settings and specialties. Prior to PA school, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Cardiovascular Technology from the University of South Carolina, which provided me with a strong foundation in diagnostic imaging and cardiovascular care. My academic and clinical training have equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and compassion to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
